When we talk about freedom, it’s not just about breaking chains or escaping boundaries—it’s about the power we have to choose. Freedom is deeply woven into the fabric of our everyday lives. It’s in the choices we make, whether they are big decisions about our life's direction or small ones that shape our daily routines. But what is the true meaning of freedom? That’s a question I reflect on in Chapter Four of my book, Choices: A Journey to Uncharted Purpose.
Freedom can take on many forms. Some see it as the ability to control how we spend our time, how we use our money, or how we live our lives. It’s about making choices that align with our values, passions, and purpose. The decisions we make reflect our freedom and either move us toward our goals or pull us away from them.
But freedom is not just about doing whatever we want, whenever we want. It’s about understanding the consequences of our choices. Every decision opens a door to new opportunities, but it can also close others. As I’ve learned through my journey, freedom can be a gift or a burden, depending on how we use it.
Choices offer us two things: the chance to build momentum toward our purpose, or the risk of veering off course. Every choice we make—whether it’s about our career, our relationships, or our personal development—has the potential to guide us closer to the life we envision, or to distract us from it. But here's the key: the choice is always ours.
There have been times in my life when I procrastinated, when I delayed action, and when I allowed fear or uncertainty to hold me back. But in each moment, I learned that not making a choice was still a choice, one that kept me stagnant. I now realize that the power of freedom lies in taking action, even when the path is unclear.
For me, freedom has always come back to a central truth: that my life is not just about my own desires, but about serving a higher purpose. I’ve always wanted success—not for me, but to glorify Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice made everything possible. My ultimate goal is not fame or accolades, but to live in a way that honors His calling for me.
It’s a vision I see so clearly now: a life filled with glory, milestones, and success, but all for a greater good. Whether my book becomes a bestseller or I win a Nobel Peace Prize is not what matters most. What matters is that I walk in faith, that I allow God to guide me, and that I share the wisdom I’ve gained along the way with others who are searching for their purpose.
The journey to fulfilling our purpose is rarely smooth. There are moments of doubt, frustration, and even anger. We wrestle with emotions that seem uncontrollable at times. But the challenges we face are part of the process, and they shape us into the people we are meant to be.
I have felt the weight of disappointment, the pain of missed opportunities, and the pressure of expectation. But I’ve also experienced moments of triumph, of joy, and of clarity. Through it all, I’ve learned to transform my struggles into words of inspiration—into books, speeches, and lessons that can help others who are on their own journeys.
As we walk this path, we must be vigilant. Life will always present us with distractions—negative influences, discouragement from others, and moments where we doubt our own potential. People may try to cloud your dreams or undermine your ambitions. Often, these are the same people who aren’t doing the work themselves, but they are quick to question the work you are doing. They fail to see the vision that God has placed on your heart.
But guard your heart. Know that the path you are on is yours, and only you can walk it. Protect your dreams from negativity, and remember that it is through faith, persistence, and action that you will achieve your purpose. Life may be selfish at times, but God is selfless, and His guidance will always bring you through.
So as I reflect on freedom, I recognize that it is both a gift and a responsibility. We are free to dream, but we must also act. We are free to set goals, but we must also work toward them with diligence and faith. And we are free to believe, but we must also surrender to God’s plan for our lives.
My book, Choices: A Journey to Uncharted Purpose, is a resource for those seeking to understand their own “why”—for those who are looking for answers and seeking direction in life. I am not the one with all the answers, but I am a vessel for the knowledge, experiences, and failures that I’ve encountered along the way. This is not just my story; it is our story, and I hope it serves as a guide for anyone who is searching for purpose.
Before I close, I want to share a message of love, one I wrote to my family, and now I extend it to all of you:
“May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. May He strengthen your heart so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all His holy ones.”
– 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13
As you journey through life, may your heart overflow with love, and may you always guard it from the negativity that seeks to diminish it. Fear not, for God’s courage will fill you, and His love will guide you. Keep pressing forward, fueled by faith, passion, and the freedom to pursue your purpose.
Closing Message: I hope this message has brought you inspiration, reflection, and encouragement. Freedom is a powerful thing—it gives us the ability to make choices that shape our lives. I pray that each of you will find the courage to use that freedom to chase your purpose, no matter the challenges along the way.

As I reflect on the chapter of freedom from Choices: A Journey to Uncharted Purpose, I am reminded that freedom is more than just the ability to do what we want. It’s the power to choose a path that aligns with our true calling, to take responsibility for our decisions, and to turn every choice into a step toward the life we envision. Freedom is both a privilege and a responsibility, and with it comes the opportunity to shape our destiny through the choices we make every day.
In your own journey, I encourage you to embrace this freedom. Recognize the choices before you and understand the impact they have on your future. Whether it’s the freedom to pursue your dreams, manage your time, or direct your resources, every choice is a reflection of your purpose.
